Millard Brown

— Guitar & Vocals

“Downtown” Millard Brown was born in Wilmington, Delaware, before Sharon Stone but after Harrison Ford. When he was six he started playing guitar - that’s almost his whole life. There have always been one or more bands in his life, starting when he helped usher in the psychedelic 60’s with his garage band, Space Angel, and continuing through his involvement today in the Day 2 band. A couple of his favorite amps are a Mesa-Boogie Nomad for large venues and a customized Fender Blues Junior for more intimate rooms. Persistent and chronic Guitar Acquisition Syndrome has helped Millard gather a roomful of guitars that span the palette of sound from Fender Telecaster chime and sizzle to custom-shop Les Paul humbucking growl. His latest acquisitions include a Minarik Goddess – one of only 350 in the world, and a baritone-tuned Steinberger Synapse Custom. It’s a good life.

Millard’s playing is inspired by Jerry Garcia, Eric Clapton, John Fogerty and George Harrison, to name a few.
